Sunday school at Lighthouse takes place every Sunday morning, promptly at 9:30 AM. Join fellow Christians in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere as you learn more about Jesus Christ and His church. We have classes for pre-school, elementary, teens, and adults. We guarantee you'll find one for each member of your family! Come this Sunday and see. At Lighthouse Baptist Church, Sunday School is a priority. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it." Our Sunday School exists to help parents dedicate their child(ren) to the Lord, and create within their child(ren) a desire for spiritual things in accord with his/her age level, thereby giving them the best possible opportunity to grow in spiritual maturity. We are not to take the place of the parents, but we are to assist them. Our Sunday School is centered on the unshakable, unchangeable living Word of God, Jesus Christ, our foundation, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (I Corinthians 3:11) Our method of teaching is based upon Isaiah 28:10 which says "for precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little." The best method of teaching is by repetition. All of our leaders have been trained to teach the student according to their age level. We want to train each one to grow to maturity as the Lord did. In Luke 2:52, the Bible says, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favour with God and Man." Our main purpose as a Sunday School is to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We love everyone and our priority is to evangelize, educate, and edify.
